Mario & Paul

Wilmington, North Carolina

Here is Mario’s story…..

My son and a partner started the Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar franchise and I sell franchises for him. While in Houston Texas working at the Shuckin' Shack Franchise booth with our CEO Jonathan, I saw the Curb-Ease booth. Saturday was quite busy at the show however Sunday was slow providing time to revisit the Curb-Ease Booth where I met Garry.

I grew up in Windsor Ontario Canada and remember my sister In law having a Curb-Ease product installed in Windsor some 18 years ago. That curb looked great when installed and still looks good today. The product therefore stands the test of time and it has a quality appearance.

I am now an American living in Carolina Beach NC where I always wanted to live. There are no products like Curb-Ease in our area so I was naturally excited. After talking to Garry for about an hour, remember the show was slow that day, I was further convinced the franchise made sense. I am not a young guy so I was concerned about the need to have a trusted younger guy with the right experience working with me. A few weeks later while talking about Curb-Ease with a friend at church he became very excited as he had seen continuous curbing in Florida where he and his family lived for quite some time.

Paul is a retired Army veteran that has seen tours of Iraq and worked in a capacity that ensured our troops had good accommodation and were safe. Project management was his forte and he had experience in working with concrete so it seemed natural that he would be an asset to the business. Paul has a strong work discipline and was interested in not only working for me but he and his wife Brook are also partnering with me in the business.

I feel very fortunate to have found a great franchise and a great partner. Looking forward to getting started in February. Look out North Carolina!
